Wiltshire Safari: Woodland to Woodfuel. Saturdays March 1st and 15th

As the government’s domestic Renewable Heat Incentive is introduced, this free two day event, organised by Wiltshire Council, is a chance to find out more about the potential to supply and use wood to heat homes, businesses and community buildings. The first day is a mini-bus tour of examples of woodfuel heating of different types and scales, with the chance to talk to owners, as well as benefit from talks and expert advice. The second day will look at the production, processing and sale of local wood. You can see the programme and register here. Saturday March 1.     9.00 -15.30.    At home with woodfuel.
Mini-bus tour, visiting 3 examples of heating with woodfuel of different types and scale, including the chance to talk to owners. Plus talks and expert advice on the choice of technology, installation and government support. The sites visited are in the Devizes/Marlborough area. The mini-bus will pick up participants in Trowbridge and Devizes.

Saturday March 15.   10.00-15.30.    Sourcing local wood
The second event is at Stourhead in West Wiltshire, with talks, demonstrations and technical advice on topics including woodland management, processing and buying wood products, For woodland owners as well as woodfuel users of all kinds, both household and larger-scale.
